Writer and Scrapbook Designer
Northridge Publishing June 2004–May 2008
- Wrote monthly article for publication in internationally distributed scrapbook magazine; article ran for 41 months; reported directly to the editor
- Developed two separate columns; the first covered innovated mini albums, the second taught how to journal effectively and creatively for scrapbook pages
- Created projects including mini albums and scrapbook layouts, using various design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, plus mixed media, to demonstrate topics covered in article
- Appeared 3 times on Good Things Utah to demonstrate crafting techniques and promote Scrapbook Trends magazine
- Planned, wrote and designed layouts for a special issue, full-length magazine on journaling for scrapbook pages, entitled Journaling Your Stories with Kara Henry; printing has since sold out

- Featured scrapbooker in the 2006 Fast and Fabulous edition of Scrapbook Trends Magazine; one of 20 which made up the whole content of the book
- Finalist (top 50) in the 2005 Memory Makers Masters contest out of over 600 entries
